WALTHAMSTOW, London – Tide Construction is proud to announce the successful completion of a week-long work experience placement program as part of The Eades Development Project. Fifteen Level 3 engineering students from Waltham Forest College took part in this immersive experience, organised with the support of the Waltham Forest Council and Waltham Forest College.

The weeklong placement program, held in October, provided students with hands-on exposure to the engineering and construction industry. Each day of the program was structured to build knowledge, from health and safety site inductions to collaborative projects involving architectural drawings and cost planning. With dedicated support from Tide’s team, the students engaged in interactive challenges, including the creation of 3D models of The Eades. This experience was designed to give students a realistic view of engineering roles within a large-scale development project.

“I’m incredibly proud to see our team supporting this initiative and providing learning opportunities for the next generation of engineers through hands-on experience at The Eades in Walthamstow. Engaging with students from Waltham Forest College allows us to showcase the diversity and innovation in construction while inspiring young talent to build a career in this industry. It’s rewarding to witness their enthusiasm and growth over the week, and we look forward to continuing these impactful programs.”
