Maldron Hotel, Finsbury Park
Tide has breathed new life into an area under-served by hotels, with a four-star destination opposite Finsbury Park Tube station, completed in just 12 months.
On a prominent site just south of Finsbury Park, Tide has delivered a 192-bed, four-star hotel, together with a range of amenities and public realm improvements. Formerly home to a Victorian music hall, the plot had been vacant and enclosed by hoardings since 2015. Tide used its volumetric approach to unlock the awkward site, which is hemmed in by rail lines to the east.
The brick-clad, eight-storey building is a sensitive addition to a historic neighbourhood, which includes a number of listed buildings such as the former Rainbow Theatre.
