First Company to Attain SCI Accreditation for Three-Dimensional Volumetric Units

Vision Volumetric is proud to announce that we are the first company to achieve certification under SCI’s rigorous scheme for three-dimensional volumetric units. This milestone underscores our commitment to quality and innovation in volumetric construction.

As a UKAS-accredited certification body (No. 10414), SCI operates a certification scheme for prefabricated steel-based modules.

To earn this certification, Vision Volumetric underwent an extensive examination process, assessing our volumetric units against a stringent set of product requirements. This included a detailed review of structural design, constituent materials, and manufacturing processes. Meeting SCI’s high standards is something to be proud of, and we are honoured to be recognized for our commitment to excellence.

Our three-dimensional volumetric units are engineered for buildings up to 50 storeys high, serving sectors such as hotels, residential apartments, and student accommodation. These units feature robust concrete floors, steel walls, and ceilings, with flexible interior finishes tailored to each project’s needs.

This certification from SCI, accredited by UKAS, covers the individual volumetric units as they leave our manufacturing facility. In addition to this, Vision Volumetric has also satisfied the rigorous requirements of SCI’s building design certification scheme, which evaluates the design of entire buildings. This includes key aspects like stability, acoustic and thermal performance, fire resistance, and overall durability.

With this dual certification, Vision Volumetric demonstrates the full scope and reliability of our volumetric system, reinforcing our position as leaders in volumetric construction.
