Delivered by Tide Construction and Vision Volumetric, on behalf of owner and operator Greystar, The Glassworks represents the third phase of the Greenford Quay regeneration project which is one of the UK’s first large-scale, purpose-designed, build-to-rent developments.
Leading Innovation in Volumetric Modular Construction
The award-winning development provides 354 stylish apartments in a range of designs and sizes. The building comprises of 1,075 volumetric modules across 14 storeys, creating a total floor area of 33,455m², of which 25,682m² is made up of offsite volumetric units. This scale positions The Glassworks as one of the UK’s largest volumetric modular residential projects and sets a new benchmark for speed, quality, and sustainability in residential modular construction.
Each volumetric module was precision-engineered offsite, allowing for rapid assembly onsite with reduced construction time, improved safety, and minimized disruption to the surrounding community. Completed in just 21 months, the approach demonstrates how volumetric modular construction can deliver complex, high-rise developments efficiently without compromising on design quality or resident experience.
